Charles Dumas is the Music Director for the Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a position he has held for the past 3 years. Mr. Dumas is also the Director of Bands at Myrtle Beach High School where his duties have included Department Chair and Auditorium Manager since 2013. Dumas is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, earning a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Music Education. His career as a music educator and director spans more than 25 years in North Carolina, 20 of which were served in public school classrooms and five years as Director of Bands at Methodist University. Dumas is in his final year of his Doctoral studies in Music Education and is on target to graduate with his degree from Liberty University in 2022.
Charles Dumas also serves as Co-Director of the North Myrtle Beach Community Band. Since Dumas has been involved, both the Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach and the North Myrtle Beach Community Bands have increased the number of members performing, as well as audience in attendance. Dumas is an active adjudicator and clinician in both North and South Carolina and enjoys passing the torch when it comes to the love of music.
When not directing, Charles Dumas’ interests include golf, salt-water, and fresh-water fishing, and listening to and performing in jazz combos and big bands. Dumas lives at the beach with his beautiful wife, Deanne, and two wonderful children, Evan and Elena. Jason enters 2023 as the president of the Festive Brass after having served as the Vice President. Looking to build upon the phenomenal chemistry in the group. He is excited to see the Festive Brass expand their repitoire and serve our community.
Jason is originally from Burlington, NC and graduated Wingate University in 1999. After spending time as a band director in New Orleans and Graham INC he relocated to the Grand Strand, where he has worked in Marketing for over a decade. He has performed with a variety of groups over the years including symphonies, community groups, Jazz bands, & small ensembles. In addition to the festive brass, Jason enjoys playing with the NMB community band, quintets, and The Sausage Festival Polka Band. He enjoys all sports, video games, grilling out, and especially spending time with his son, daughter, and beautiful wife, Amy.

Jennifer Egan stepped into the role of President for the Festive Brass at the beginning of 2020 with the hope of continuing the legacy of excellence in the ensemble, and further the work of building this community of brass musicians around the Grand Strand.
Jen moved to the Myrtle Beach area from Rockford, Illinois in 2016 and was pleased to discover such a diverse and excellent music community here. Jen joined the Festive Brass at the beginning of 2017, and she has enjoyed the many friendships and personal growth that has come from this talented group of musicians. In addition to leading the Festive Brass, Jen also enjoys playing in the North Myrtle Beach Community Band, the Wilmington Symphonic Winds, and the Beach Brass Quintet. Jen is a graphic designer by profession and works out of her home through her company, Allspice Studios, LLC.

Andrew Gore received a Master of Horn Performance from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where he studied with Drs. Travis Bennett and Terry Roberts, respectively. In addition, Andrew has post graduate studies with Dr. Alan Mattingly with the University of Nebraska.
Andrew has enjoyed an active performance career in both North and South Carolina. He has performed with the Florence Symphony, Fayetteville Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and the City Ballet of Wilmington.
Other extensive ensemble work includes Wilmington Symphonic Winds, Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach, Beach Brass Quintet, and the North Myrtle Beach Community Band.
Outside of a busy performance schedule, Andrew works with a large multifamily real estate firm as a property manager while enjoying the laid back atmosphere of coastal life. Andrew hopes to continue a successful freelance career based out of Myrtle Beach.
